Active Release Techniques® in Rochester, MN: Active Release Techniques (ART®) is a patented soft tissue treatment that requires intensive training and dedication by the health care professionals at RAK Chiropractic who are providing the treatment.
What is ART®?
ART® is one of the most innovative and effective treatments available for sports injuries, soft tissue injuries and overuse conditions provided by the chiropractors at our Rochester center. Repetitive stress, surgery or trauma can result in the buildup of scar tissue and adhesions within soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves). These adhesions hinder movement and function causing symptoms of pain, numbness, weakness and reduced range of motion. Active Release Techniques® is a non-invasive treatment method that eliminates adhesions within soft-tissues, alleviates symptoms and improves range of motion. It is a direct, hands-on treatment that uses tension and movement to return tissue to its correct texture and function.
These treatment protocols – over 500 specific moves – are unique to ART®. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. Active Release Techniques® is not a cookie-cutter approach.
