Meet Dr. Katie Layden, DC | RAK Chiropractic

Dr. Katie Layden has built her career around one simple idea: when the body is given what it needs and the nervous system is free to do its job, people feel better in ways they stopped expecting.

Dr. Katie's Path to Chiropractic

Growing up in a small town in Iowa, Dr. Katie was always active. She went on to compete as a Division III basketball player at Cornell College, and it was through sport that she first started paying attention to how the body responds to stress, demand, and care. Chiropractic became a regular part of how she took care of herself, and somewhere along the way curiosity turned into calling.

She enrolled at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, drawn to the idea of helping people heal naturally rather than just managing symptoms. It was there that she met Dr. Ryley. What started as a shared interest in chiropractic became a shared life. They married in January 2010, graduated that April, and one month later opened the doors to RAK Chiropractic in Rochester. She has been pouring herself into this practice and the patients in it ever since.

Dr. Katie is especially passionate about the patients who come in frustrated. The ones who feel like they are eating well, moving their bodies, doing everything they are supposed to do, and still not feeling the way they should. She digs deeper for those people because she genuinely believes there is always an answer worth finding.

What Dr. Katie Focuses On

Dr. Katie sees patients across all ages and stages of life, but a few areas are especially close to her heart.

Prenatal chiropractic care

Webster-certified care that supports pelvic alignment, reduces pregnancy-related discomfort, and helps moms feel strong and comfortable through every trimester

Pediatric chiropractic

Gentle, specific adjustments for newborns, infants, and kids at every stage of development, including birth trauma recovery, feeding difficulties, and overall healthy growth

RAK Health Scans

Hair and saliva bioresonance testing that goes beneath the surface to identify hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and sensitivities contributing to how someone feels

Nervous system-focused care

Adjusting that is built around each individual patient rather than a standard protocol, because no two people present exactly the same way

Whole family wellness

From the first adjustment for a newborn to ongoing care for grandparents, Dr. Katie loves caring for families across generations
